Summer Days + 365 Challenge: Days 205 - 214

Playing some serious catch up here. This post was originally intended for the beginning of August... But it never got published.

Hey everyone! Phew! Just PHEW! Summer is flying on fast and faster. But WHAT a summer.
Between work and work and busyness and more work and lots of fun, I don't know where the summer has gone. Which is why, more often than not, I've gotten behind with getting my 365 images uploaded.

Lest you think that I've been purposefully neglecting you here's the low down on what's been going on.

I spend my work days chasing around to very busy toddlers, which I absolutely love.... and on some weekend I get to play the part of parking attendant at a wedding venue. The long and the short of it is, I get to park Cadillacs in a hayfield and see people run around a barn in their nicest clothes.... figure that one out. Other than that, here's what's been up for the past few months.

So my younger brother graduated from high school, which was a bigger deal because he was the last one still in school. We had a biggish party and celebrated with all our family and friends. 90 cupcakes later, I'm really glad that I don't have to worry about baking and freezing ahead of time any more.

After the party some of our friend who'd traveled up stayed for a few days of fun, campfires, long laughs over "ham-bushs" and blueberry picking.

I also had the opportunity to introduce one of my all time favorite games, Risk, to some new victims players. My check list for that one day could have included. Wake up , Drink coffee✓, Conquer the world .  Yup, it was a good day. Of course, I also got beat, mercilessly, at Life a few more times than I'd like to count, but hey, it all evened out in the end.

Our garden is simply exploding, figuratively if not literally. We've got summer squash and green beans coming out our ears which means that it's time to start canning. Of course, with canning season come fair prep season. Yes, I know it's "hick-ish," but it just wouldn't be summer without starting to plan our mile long list of fair entries.

So that's about the long and the short of it. My summer can pretty much be described in one word, BUSY.
