A Day in the Life of a CollegePlus! Student

Required reading, Exam breakdown and my hastily written notes.
I'm sure the excitement is overwhelming you :)

One common misconception that I face as a student who is doing college differently is the fact that many people don’t believe that I am really doing college at all. Though I know that this is something that many other people who choose alternative colleges, either small local schools or online courses face, with the way that I am doing school even more people look at me as being less educated and certainly not degree bound. My goal with this post is to try and dispel some of those faulty notions by explaining what school is like for me.

Dress Diary {Entry 2}

This week has been pretty crazy which hasn't left me much available time to work on my dress project but I'm pleased with the progress that I did make. Since I was able to get most of the bodice done my focus was to get one of my trim options made up so that I could see how it looked. Thankfully there are so many different types of trim that if I'm not entirely satisfied with the first one I can  try another on.

The Wonderful Advantages of Finishing School Early

Source:  via maidofvirtue on Pinterest

I was just reading an online article about the disadvantages to finishing your college degree early. You can read it here if you would like. My first thought was, “This HAS to be a joke”. My next thought, after I realized that it wasn't  was “The sad thing is people, especially students believe this.” So this is my ten cents worth on why finishing college in less the four years is worth it!

Dress Diary {Entry 1}

I love sewing, it’s one of my favorite things to do if I’m not too busy to do it. I've been busy working on a very unique project for the past few months and have really been enjoying it. Unfortunately with all that has been going on with school things have been too busy to make any real headway with it.

Welcome to My Unconventional Life

My life is can pretty much be summed up with the word unconventional. I don’t believe in following blindly the beat of any drummer with out first finding out if said drummer’s march is completely Biblical and in line with what God is calling me to do and be. I believe that life is a journey of lessons and experiences that are designed to bring me to a closer fuller knowledge of my Savior and Lord. Before I can start posting the ins and outs of all that I’m learning from my unconventional life I have to explain to you a little bit about who I am.

Yes, here in New England summers is almost here. We are finally at the point when the threat of frost is low enough that we can start planting the tender vegetables.  Here are some pictures from our gardens.

Hello Blogging World! I have returned, just for a short period of time. The past two months have been a whirl wind of studying, tests, coach calls, degree planning and yes, work. I am busy, but happy. I still make time to live life, I just don't blog about it much any more. I'm now a full fledged history major through CollegePlus! and I love it. I've have earned 21 credits since February and my brain is still functioning. (Though my Mum might testify to the fact that there have been several times where it doesn't seem to be)
